I really dislike the idea of autumn because it marks the end of summer and my garden, shorter days, cold setting in and the prospect of winter weather, meaning rain and rarely lovely snow in Vancouver. But, I rapidly reconcile with the season when I walk around my neighborhood and enjoy the magnificent displays of colored leaves, fairy tale mushrooms that must have little gnomes sitting on them, and then all the wonderful squash and fruit that we wait all summer to eat fresh.
