Architectural Details

What is more classic than doors and shutters in Europe? But they still appeal to me in their immense variety of shapes, sizes, styles as well as colour and lighting depending on the time of day. In Rabastens (near Toulouse) my friends had a house next to a lovely grandmother that the kids called ‘Bulle’. Every day her window changed. The curtains were knotted differently, a frying pan out to dry, a rubber glove hanging… So I asked Bulle to sit on the window sill and allow me to photograph her. Now her granddaughter who is a wonderful photographer lives in Bulle`s old house.
