Tulips

One day I dropped in to see a friend who had a flower shop. She had gone to the auction that morning to purchase the flowers for the day. She was captivated by the burgundy colored tulips, so she bought 5 bunches. When she picked up her order, she realized they were artificially colored tulips. Her heart sank! So she offered them to me because in her shop she only had natural non artificial things and would not sell them. I loved them for their strangeness and that night I went to a friend’s gallery opening and gave him the tulips that he really enjoyed because they seemed so quirky to him!
